Don't Miss a Window.
Europe has windows of opportunity that open for a week or two, then close for a year. The almond blossom. Federweißer at harvest. Oktoberfest as the wind turns up. The night the Christmas markets light up. The seasons bring different magical moments right outside my window. This is where I share which window is open… where to catch it and how to enjoy it, even from afar.
My goal is to create the perfect companion for expats, jet setters, and dreamers with wanderlust.

Eight years living in SW Germany.
I am not writing this from a desk somewhere. Nor do I helicopter in. I drive these roads daily. I go to these fests. I eat at these cafes.
What brings you here?
You can find out what a place looks like anywhere. What you cannot find is when to go so you actually experience it, and what you will walk into if you time it right. Food in season. Culture from the kitchen table to the village square. Views that only open for a few weeks. And my favorite: the festivals that make a quiet, picturesque town come alive.
The village and stretch of road worth the detour. Hopefully not the first answer Google or ChatGPT gives you.
Inspiration for planning ahead. Where to stay, what to eat, and how to build a plan or a dream around it.

Who I Write For
You can find out what a place looks like anywhere. What nobody tells you is when to be there, and what you will talk into if you get it right.
First time in Europe or looking for a fun day trip, and you want to land in the middle of something. If not tomorrow, one day.
Retiring abroad, or taking months instead of days. Build your time around the magic, the roads, the scenery to discover.
Expat or military, living in it, and tired of finding out about the fest the week after. About to PCS home? Let’s stay connected to bring the memories and lifestyle ideas with you.
Written from inside it
I am Marni. I moved to SW Germany eight years ago, and stayed, which was not the plan. Since then, I have learned the year by living it: where to eat asparagus when it starts, how to tell if a fest is worth the drive, and how many weeks you get before the color in the leaves are gone.
There are times when it feels scary or intimidating to get out and explore. And for many people who have never made the flight over yet, it can be frustrating not knowing where to start. Go Live It is the shortcut I wish someone had sent me. No brochure language, many places I have been, and others that are on my bucket list too, but worth mentioning.
Kobe Approved of any plan In the forest or a fest with food on the ground.
